SONGS PERFORMED BY TANIA SUSI MUSIC

PRELUDE MUSIC SUGGETIONS

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring - Bach

Especially appropriate at weddings during Advent and Christmas, this melody has a sweet flowing quality to it and is appropriate for Prelude music or Bridal Party Music.

The Swan from Carnival of the Animals - Saint-Saens

Taken from an orchestral piece that features various instruments in the roles of animals. This lovely piece is also used to feature the beauty of the ballet art form.

Young and Beautiful - Lana Del Rey

Lana’ s song Young and Beautiful is both restless and haunting. Her enchanting voice and deep vocals capture the feel of love and desire. A Lake Placid native, Lana Del Rey has a lot of fans in this area. This song takes its place in the midst of gorgeous love ballades.

What A Wonderful World

Made famous by Louis Armstrong, the song invokes a feeling of calm and happiness and that all is good and peaceful in the world. The sweeping melody will make you feel enveloped by beauty. I can’t think of a better song to welcome guests with.

“Winter” from the Four Seasons Violin Concerto - Vivaldi

Vivaldi captures the elegance and beauty of the violin with his Four Seasons Violin Concerto. The different movements were inspired and composed by each season. This piece could easily be substituted as a Bridal Party Processional.

At Last

Made famous by Etta James and more recently by Cristina Aguilera, this song will sweep you off your feet with the rich and voluptuous strings in the backdrop. The violin solo is delivered with a full serving of emotion and gusto.

“Spring” from the Four Seasons Violin Concerto - Vivaldi

This piece of classical music, is a solo violin concerto with a fast tempo and an elegant, virtuoso flair. This song can also be substituted as the Recessional.

BRIDAL PARTY MUSIC SUGGETIONS

A Million Dreams- from the movie “The Greatest Showman”

A Million Dreams- from the movie “The Greatest Showman” This song has such a magical feeling, and it works especially well when there are children in the bridal party.

Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen

This is a classic tune with an emotional and meditative feeling to it. It hat has been performed at many ceremonies and introspective moments. It also works beautifully during candle lighting, sand ceremonies or memorial moments.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow - from “The Wizard of Oz”

This song is loved by every generation. Your guests will feel enveloped by nostalgia and memories when they hear this rendition. Pair this with “Can’t Help Falling In Love “ for a magical ceremony!

Yellow - Coldplay

“Look at the Stars.. Look how they shine for you” the opening lyrics are conveyed in the melody. Coldplay fans choose this tune over and over because the words are so beautiful and the melodies are memorable. Pair it with another Coldplay song “ Reign of Love” and recessionals “Viva La Vida” or “A Sky Full off Stars” for the complete Coldplay Ceremony!

BRIDAL PROCESSIONAL MUSIC SUGGETIONS

Reign of Love - Coldplay

If you are a mega Coldplay fan, you just might need to pair “Yellow” for the Bridal Party with a Bridal Processional of “Reign of Love” followed by the Recessional “Viva La Vida “ or “ A Sky Full of Stars.”

In My Life - The Beatles

The Beatles wrote so many classics, but this one has been requested time and time again. You can pair this with another Beatles classic “ Ob-la-di- Ob -la-da”

Can't Help Falling in Love

Sung by “The King” , Elvis and other great singers, this classic love song is sure to feel like a dream when you walk down the aisle. Definitely a “wow” song, because it makes time stand still.

Perfect - Ed Sheeran

Quickly becoming a classic at weddings. This song immediately gets into the heart of the song. It is a great choice if you have a short walk down the aisle.

Thousand Years - Christine Perri

This song was made famous in the “Twilight” movies. It is a favorite for modern brides and expresses timeless love. It pairs beautifully with “ A Million Dreams”.

Canon in D - Pachelbel

This is a wedding processional classic, and is most often reserved for the Bride, but, can certainly be used for the Bridal Party. It pairs beautifully with virtually any song. Having a wedding without this song ( at least for Prelude) feels like we forgot something! If you use this for a Processional, it also pairs beautifully with the “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”. These two songs together create a “classical music” feel.

Marry Me - Train

This rendition features the solo violin with a guitar instrumental. The melody has a soaring and expansive feeling to it. I recommend pairing this piece with “Hallelujah”.

Unchained Melody - the Righteous Brothers

An American Classic. Nostalgic and dreamy. Pair this selection with “ Winter” by Vivaldi or “A Million Dreams”.

Viva La Vida - Coldplay

This song is a celebration of life and happiness and has a great beat! Your guests will feel the shift from ceremony to cocktail hour immediately when they hear this song!

I’m Yours - Jason Mraz

Playful and rhythmic, you might feel like skipping instead of walking back down the aisle together to this! This is a happy, light- hearted sounding song that will put a smile on everyone’s face!

Marry You- Bruno Mars

This song starts with a fast tempo and stays that way all the way through. It was made famous on the tv show “GLEE” during a wedding scene and it is just fun to play! It’s a great Bruno Mars classic. I would pair this with “Marry Me” by Train.

Ants Marching - Dave Matthews Band

If you are a Dave Mathews Fan- this one may be your number one choice. It’s fun and gets the party started right away! Dave fans will be cheering!

Lucky - Colbie Caillat

This love song feels so happy and sweet. The original version features Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz in a duet. This song won a Grammy Award. I love performing this song because it is so well suited to the violin and it sets a playful mood!

COCKTAIL HOUR MUSIC SUGGETIONS

This melody from the HBO hit series will delight all of your guests! There are Game of Thrones fans at every party!

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

Easily one of my favorite songs in my set list, this rock and roll classic from Guns N' Roses's debut album, Appetite for Destruction, was released in 1988. Yes! I do play the long solo at the end of the song, made famous by the band's lead guitarist, Slash.

Crystallize- Lindsey Stirling

Whether or not you’ve heard of Lindsey Stirling, this song will captivate and excite your guests. It’s pure electric rock violin. I play a number of her tunes to add an element of instrumental rock virtuosity to my set lists.

Shadows- Lindsey Stirling

Another example of Lindsey Stirling’s genius electric violin rock writing. I LOVE to perform her compositions. Your guests will be intrigues and clap along to the high energy performance of this piece.

Senorita - Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes

This is for all of the ladies in the room! This song is a playful duet between the female and male vocalist. Flirtatious and fun!

If you want a song that will make your guests smile, A-ha's " Take on Me" is great for cocktail hour. The Norwegian synth-pop band from the 80's created a classic!

Ob-la-di-Ob-la-da - Beatles

When the champagne is flowing and your guests are mingling with each other, this song adds a joyful, carefree mood to the whole atmosphere.

Despacito - Luis Fonsi

The song was mainly famous because of its music composition which had a nice mix of latin and Caribbean languages.

I Choose You - Sara Bareilles

A beautiful song about falling in love. I love playing this song because there is so much opportunity for me to play around with the melody while I perform it on the violin. This is the kind of song makes you feel happy about everything.

Love Me Like You Do - Ellie Goulding

This song has sections that sound wistful and other moments that sound assertive. You don't need the words to experience the waves of emotions. The feeling of the song is captured by the violin.

All of Me - John Legend

"All of Me" conveys one's desire and commitment for each other. You can use this song as a Bridal Party or Bridal Processional.
